Former UFC strawweight champion Jessica Andrade, 34, reveals she is working as a delivery driver and doing landscaping to earn money while recovering from a shoulder injury suffered in her loss to Loopy Godinez last August. The Brazilian has not competed since that defeat.

Andrade has fought 30 times in the UFC since her 2013 debut, winning 17 bouts. "I do whatever it takes. I'm not afraid of hard work," she said on the Direto de Vegas podcast. She previously sold UFC gear in 2018 due to sponsorship struggles and fought five times in 2023 to fund her divorce.

The fighter also accused former coach Gilliard Parana of withholding earnings, which he denied. The situation highlights ongoing scrutiny over UFC fighter pay, which accounts for roughly 20% of revenue compared to 60% in boxing. The disparity drew attention after Conor Benn secured a reported £11m one-fight deal with Zuffa Boxing, owned by UFC president Dana White, who maintains pay has risen significantly since 2001.
