Great Britain's ice hockey struggles continued with a 4-0 defeat to Finland at the World Championship, despite a stellar performance from goaltender Mat Robson. The Coventry Blaze netminder made numerous brilliant saves, including a crucial breakaway stop on Sakari Manninen, but could not single-handedly prevent the loss.

Finland struck early when Ville Heinola scored in the first minute, blasting home from the left point. Heinola added a second goal midway through the contest after Robson briefly lost his stick, while Mikko Lehtonen extended the lead to three. Henri Jokiharju completed the scoring late in the third period.

The defeat leaves GB winless in five games and anchored at the bottom of Group A. Finland, meanwhile, extended their tournament winning streak to five consecutive victories. Great Britain faces Latvia on May 24 and Germany on May 25 as they fight to avoid relegation from the top division.
