Glenn Irwin will return to the North West 200 in May, reversing his October 2024 retirement from road racing. The Northern Irish rider cited family interests for his initial exit but now rejoins the international road race on the province's north coast, where he boasts an incredible record.

Irwin's change of heart follows a difficult 2024 British Superbike season. A June hip injury led to serious pelvic fractures and the loss of his previous ride. He has now signed with Nitrous Competitions Ducati, who offered a package capable of winning the Superbike championship and restoring his winning form.

The 35-year-old, who made his debut in 2015, is the most successful Superbike rider in the event's history with 11 consecutive wins. After a 'low point' in hospital last year, Irwin is motivated to win at the North West 200 again to fuel his ultimate dream: claiming the British Superbike title.
