Great Britain captured two gold medals at the European Rowing Championships in Varese, Italy, with Lauren Henry winning the women's single sculls and Benjamin Pritchard taking the PR1 men's single sculls. Henry, the Olympic champion from the 2024 Paris Games, led the race in the second half and secured a controlled victory, retaining her title at the event. Pritchard successfully defended his European title, overcoming Italian Giacomo Perini.

The British women's eight finished with a silver medal, trailing Romania by 5.43 seconds. The team, comprising Annie Campbell‑Orde, Lauren Irwin, Katherine George, Heidi Long, Megan Slabbert, Amelia Standing, Eve Stewart, Elizabeth Witt, and cox Jack Tottem, added to the GB squad’s haul of three gold medals on Saturday.

The championships, held before the 2026 World Championships scheduled for 24‑30 August in the Netherlands, saw the men's world team absent from Italy as they were at an altitude camp in Silvretta.
