Exeter Chiefs secured a commanding 47-14 victory over Trailfinders Women in Premiership Women's Rugby, with hooker Cliodhna Moloney-MacDonald starring in a first-half hat-trick. The Chiefs ran in seven tries at Sandy Park, strengthening their hold on third place in the league table. Moloney-MacDonald's wife Claudia also crossed the whitewash, while flanker Maisy Allen contributed two tries.

All of Cliodhna Moloney-MacDonald's tries came before halftime, with Alana Borland's converted effort keeping Trailfinders in contention after the Ireland international's fifth-minute opener. Prop Amy Rule pounced on a loose ball at a lineout early in the second half for a bonus-point clinching try. Georgia Ponsonby added Trailfinders' second score with a powerful finish.

Claudia Moloney-MacDonald extended the lead with her try on the hour mark, before Allen's late double sealed the emphatic win. The result confirmed Exeter's position behind Gloucester-Hartpury and ahead of fourth-placed Harlequins. Meanwhile, Sale Sharks thrashed bottom-placed Leicester Tigers 62-3 to leapfrog Trailfinders into fifth place in the standings.
