England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt has set her sights on creating a historic 'Euros moment' as the Women's T20 World Cup arrives on home soil this summer. Speaking at Edgbaston to mark 100 days until the tournament begins, Sciver-Brunt expressed her desire for England to replicate the success of the Lionesses and Red Roses, who both won major tournaments at home in recent years.

England have an impressive record in home World Cups, having won all four they've hosted across different formats. The tournament, expanded to 12 teams for the first time, will feature 33 matches across seven venues, culminating in the final at Lord's on 5 July. With over 115,000 tickets already sold, organizers aim for a combined attendance of 270,000, more than double the previous best attended Women's T20 World Cup.

However, the tournament has faced scrutiny over scheduling decisions, particularly the predetermined semi-final slots for India to maximize TV audiences. Tournament director Beth Barrett-Wild defended the arrangement, citing the need to balance fairness with commercial opportunities. England's preparations have also been disrupted, with a training camp in Abu Dhabi canceled due to Middle East tensions, leaving the team without competitive action since their 50-over World Cup semi-final exit in October.
