Durham secured a nine‑wicket victory at Hampshire, thanks to England opener Emilio Gay's unbeaten century. Gay's 104 not out lifted Durham to third in the One‑Day Cup Group B and sharpened their quarter‑final prospects. Young Jack Nelson also top‑scored with 76 off 69 balls as Middlesex beat Yorkshire to take the top spot.

At Lord’s, England Under‑19 international Nelson was backed by spinner Zafar Gohar’s 4‑24, and he caught the decisive ball to dismiss Yorkshire’s Dom Bess, sealing a 35‑run win. The result left Middlesex in the lead of Group B, while Essex and Derbyshire also added victories.

Leicestershire Foxes thrashed Somerset by 164 runs to sit four points clear at the top of Group A. With a 289‑8 total, Ben Cox scored 89, Nick Kelly 60 and Ian Holland 77. Somerset collapsed to 125 in 30 overs, leaving the Foxes comfortably ahead.
