Dumbleton CC has recorded an astonishing T20 total of 417-2 against Hatherley and Reddings CC, a score they are investigating for world record status. Opener Ewan Gegg was instrumental, smashing an unbeaten 206 off 55 balls with 23 sixes, while Dan Holland contributed 122 off 37 deliveries. The pair's explosive hitting saw Dumbleton batters clear the boundary 47 times.

Hatherley and Reddings CC were ultimately bowled out for 229, falling short by 188 runs despite a century from Harry Bloomfield. Dumbleton's innings included another century from Bloomfield in the opposition, who conceded 35 in one over. The team is seeking official confirmation, citing a 416-2 score from an Indian T20 game in 2017 as a comparable benchmark.

This score dwarfs previous records, including England's 304-2 against South Africa last September and the 349-5 set by Baroda in 2024. Gegg attributed the high scoring to a desire for a home quarter-final, a favorable batting wicket, and a small boundary on one side of the ground, leading to an exceptional hitting display.
