Derry City have received a suspended partial closure of the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium from Uefa following crowd trouble during their Europa League match against CSKA Sofia on July 16.

The incidents, which involved rival supporters before and during the game, led to police deployment and a 14-minute stoppage as fans, including children, moved onto the pitch to escape confrontations. Derry City lost the match 2-1, resulting in their exit from the competition.

The partial stadium closure is suspended for a two-year probationary period. Derry City have also been fined €20,000 (£17,000). CSKA Sofia faces a ban on away supporters for their next European match, with a further one-game sanction suspended for two years. The Bulgarian club has been fined a total of €55,000 (£47,000) and must compensate Derry City for stadium damage.
