Eugenio Chacarra won the DP World India Championship by two strokes, moving top of the Race to Dubai standings ahead of Patrick Reed and Rory McIlroy.

Chacarra finished on 21 under at the Delhi Golf Club, with New Zealand's Daniel Hillier finishing second after birdieing the last to apply late pressure. The 26-year-old Spaniard opened with successive rounds of 67 and, after bad light halted play on Saturday while he was still on the 11th hole of his third round, returned on Sunday to card a nine-under 63 and establish a five-shot lead.

A two-under 70 in his final round proved enough to hold off Hillier. The victory was Chacarra's third of the season as he aims to emulate Jon Rahm and Seve Ballesteros by becoming the third Spaniard to top the season-long standings.

Reed, the 2018 Masters champion, had led the standings since March but was overtaken with three events remaining. A final-round 69 left him tied for 23rd on eight under, while McIlroy, the world number two, shot a closing two-over 74 to finish tied for 42nd.
