Defending Wimbledon men's doubles champions Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool have been eliminated in the quarter-finals, falling to a 6-2, 7-6 (7-2) defeat against sixth seeds Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic. The third seeds, who made history last year as the first all-British men's doubles champions at Wimbledon in 89 years, struggled to convert their opportunities, failing to capitalize on two break points.

Their exit leaves Henry Patten as the only Briton remaining in the doubles draw. Patten, alongside his Finnish partner Harri Heliovaara, who won the title in 2024, will compete for a place in the final against the American-Australian pairing of Aleksandar Kovacevic and Thanasi Kokkinakis on Thursday. Arevalo and Pavic, meanwhile, are on track to emulate Cash and Glasspool's 2025 Queen's-Wimbledon double.

Arevalo and Pavic, who also secured the Australian Open title earlier this year, are now aiming for their second major championship of the season and a potential fourth Grand Slam final appearance. Their victory over the British duo signals a shift in the men's doubles landscape at Wimbledon.
