France's Cassandre Beaugrand secured her fourth consecutive World Triathlon Championship Series victory in Weihai, China, finishing the 10km run in one minute 49.20 seconds. Olympic champion Beaugrand surged ahead in the final kilometre, leaving Britain's Beth Potter six seconds behind in second place. Germany's Lisa Tertsch claimed third, 18 seconds further back.

Beaugrand admitted the race was "definitely not easy," crediting Potter for pushing the pace on the run. After exiting the 1500m swim in third behind Britain's Tilly Anema and Brazil's Vittoria Lopez, Beaugrand joined a lead pack of over 30 cyclists on the bike. She, Potter, and Tertsch broke away on foot, with Beaugrand's finishing kick proving decisive.

The win moves Beaugrand atop the Championship Series standings, overtaking Potter despite fewer races. In the men's event, Switzerland's Max Studer won in 1:41:08, ahead of Spain's David Cantero del Campo and Canada's Tyler Mislawchuk. The season continues in the Czech Republic on 13 September before the Grand Final in Spain on 23 September.
