Back in non-contact training since May, Aspinall previously labeled Gane a "cheater" following that controversial finish. The rivalry now moves toward a definitive conclusion in Gane's home country.

Gane captured the interim heavyweight belt at UFC Freedom 250, defeating Alex Pereira via second-round stoppage.
