Wrexham defender Zak Vyner is eager to witness the club’s growing appeal in the United States. After recent friendlies against Wisla Krakow in Poland and Manchester United in Finland, Wrexham is headed to the US for three matches that promise to test the squad and excite the fan base.

The club’s earlier trips drew huge crowds thanks to owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac and the success of the “Welcome to Wrexham” documentary. Vyner said he has only sampled American support online and via the signing ceremony, so seeing fans in person will be an eye‑opener.

The squad will face Leeds in Tampa on 26 July, then Liverpool in New York, and finish with Sunderland in Philadelphia on 2 August. Vyner, 29, joined Wrexham from Bristol City for an undisclosed fee, recovered from a toe injury and later a groin problem, and is looking to cement his place.

He noted that pre‑season tours give the manager a challenge but also help players improve fitness and chemistry. ‘I’m ready to go,’ he added, hoping to make an impression and prepare for the Championship season.
