Manchester United produced a remarkable second-half fightback to come from 2-0 down to win 3-2 against Roma in the Champions League, ending a run of nine games without a victory. Bruno Fernandes' penalty on 58 minutes sparked the revival.
Speaking after the match, United captain Fernandes told Amazon Prime: "We don't need to save anyone's job." He emphasized the club and players needed the win after tough speculation. He addressed being dropped to the bench after criticizing Michael Carrick's tactics following a 4-1 loss at Como.
Fernandes said he and Carrick cleared the air, and the benching was due to performance, not punishment for his words. "The manager is the one who makes the decisions." He maintained belief in the manager, staff, and players, and his aim to win every game.
