Yang Hyun-jun has signed a new contract with Celtic, extending his stay at Parkhead until 2030. The 23-year-old South Korean winger expressed his delight at committing his future to the Scottish champions, telling the club's TV channel that he loves the club and sees his long-term future there.

Since arriving from Gangwon FC in 2023, Yang has made 111 appearances and scored 17 goals for the Hoops. He has already collected three Scottish Premiership medals, a League Cup triumph and a Scottish Cup victory during his time in Glasgow. Yang acknowledged the season had its challenges but emphasized the importance of winning the title.

Looking ahead, Yang wants to improve his performances in European competitions, which Celtic will be competing in next season. His decision to extend his contract provides stability for the winger and signals the club's intent to build around him as they target domestic and European success. Yang could feature in Saturday's Scottish Cup final against Dunfermline Athletic, potentially adding another trophy to his collection before the extended deal officially begins.
