West Ham thrashed Wolves 4-0 at London Stadium in a result that lifted them out of the Premier League relegation zone and plunged bitter rivals Tottenham into it. Taty Castellanos and Konstantinos Mavropanos both scored twice as the Hammers secured their biggest win of the campaign.

Manager Nuno Espirito Santo acknowledged "a lot of work to do" but called it a "big step" towards safety. Wolves are now 15 points from safety with just 18 points left to play for - their relegation could be confirmed within a week. Defender Ladislav Krejci apologised to fans "for the situation in the table."

Tottenham are in uncharted territory. This is the first time Spurs have occupied the relegation zone after 31 matches in the Premier League era - a new low. With 30 points from 31 games and four of their six remaining matches against top-half teams including Aston Villa and Chelsea, the pressure is on new boss Roberto de Zerbi ahead of Sunday's game against Sunderland.
