Wales Midfielder Alice Griffiths Signs with Exeter City

Wales international Alice Griffiths has joined Exeter City in the Women's National League South after a brief stint with Scottish side Rangers. The 25-year-old midfielder, who earned her first senior goal for Rangers in October, will now relocate from Glasgow to the south coast of England. Griffiths brings 17 caps for Wales and recent experience from Euro 2025 qualification.

Griffiths' move comes after she was notably absent from Wales' recent World Cup qualifier squad under manager Rhian Wilkinson for matches against Czech Republic and Montenegro. Her career includes spells with Cardiff Met, Charlton Athletic, and a pivotal season at Southampton where she helped secure promotion to the Women's Championship in 2021-22. She also had a loan spell with Durham.

The transfer represents a step down in competition level from her time in Scotland, but offers Griffiths regular playing time in a new environment. Her international experience and proven track record in promotion-winning campaigns make her a valuable addition to Exeter City's squad as they compete in the National League South.
