Trevoh Chalobah sealed the end of a nearly 20‑year journey with Chelsea by signing for Serie A newcomers Como 1907 this summer. The 27‑year‑old credits Logging a tear‑filled car ride at Cobham to being dropped from the “bomb squad” under Enzo Maresca for teaching resilience; every setback was a lesson.

After a loan spell at Crystal Palace, Chalobah was recalled in January 2025 and went on to make 151 appearances for the Blues, recording a career‑high 47 matches in the 2023‑24 season. He then accepted a £31m move, leaving the blue flag forever etched in his heart.

Under former Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas, the defender was brought in to add leadership and show his trademark resilience: “I bounce back from everything and nothing gets to me.” He praised Como’s rapid rise from Serie B to the Champions League, noting Fabregas’s vision fits his experience.

Chalobah’s story isn’t first overseas; a 2020‑21 loan at French side Lorient mirrored his brother Nathaniel’s path. He also earned a last‑minute England call‑up for the 2022 World Cup, a nod from Tuchel. Now he embarks on a new chapter, confident that every challenge has shaped him.
