Trabzonspor have rejected Fatih Tekke's resignation following their Europa League exit, with the coach reaffirming his commitment. Tekke stated, "Trabzonspor is my club, and I am part of this project, body and soul. Last night will not change that." He acknowledged high expectations but insisted, "I truly believe we can and will deliver. 'I came here to win' is not just a slogan to me."

Despite the European setback, Trabzonspor will now compete in the Europa Conference League this season, facing Scottish side Hearts among their six opponents. The seven-time Turkish champions have been active in the transfer market, making high-profile signings.

Notably, they secured Mohamed Salah and Fabinho from the Premier League, while Andre Onana rejoined on loan from Manchester United. Salah, 34, made a shock move last month after mutually terminating his Liverpool contract. The Egypt international is the third-highest scorer in Reds history, behind Ian Rush and Roger Hunt, with 257 goals in 442 appearances since his 2017 transfer from Roma.

Salah has already made an impact, scoring his first two goals for Trabzonspor in Saturday's 2-1 win against Istanbul Basaksehir.
