England midfielder Georgia Stanway joined Arsenal on a free transfer from Bayern Munich, calling the club's interest a 'really nice feeling to be wanted.' The 27-year-old praised Arsenal's vision for women's football as they rebuild for a WSL title push. 'What Arsenal are building within England, within the WSL, within Europe, is something I want to be part of,' Stanway told the Women's Football Weekly podcast. She highlighted how playing in the Bundesliga helped her develop both as a player and person, gaining comfort with herself and understanding her role with trust from managers. Stanway arrives at her prime to help Arsenal chase their first WSL title since 2018-19.

The club have made seven new signings this summer, including Batlle, Reuteler and Baum, all from German football. While excited about the football ambitions, Stanway admitted moving from her Cumbrian hometown of Barrow-in-Furness to London will require adjustment, adding she prefers countryside settings and farms over city life.
