Safia Middleton-Patel has rejoined Watford on a season-long loan deal from Manchester United for the remainder of the 2026-27 season. The 21-year-old Wales goalkeeper previously spent the second half of the 2023-24 campaign on loan with the Hornets and now returns for a full season in Women's Super League 2.

Middleton-Patel made her senior debut for Manchester United in December 2024 against Newcastle United. During her time with the Red Devils, she made three appearances under manager Marc Skinner, including featuring in the Champions League victory over Paris Saint-Germain at Old Trafford.

A Manchester United statement confirmed: "We will be tracking Saf's progress closely and wish her the very best of luck." The move provides Middleton-Patel with valuable playing time as she continues her development at Watford.
