Rosenior Set for Paris FC Role After Chelsea Exit

Former Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior is close to taking charge at Paris FC, with a two-year contract plus extension option on the table. The 41-year-old lasted less than four months at Stamford Bridge before his dismissal in April, now poised for a swift return to management in Ligue 1.

Paris FC, owned by the Arnault family with Red Bull holding a minority stake, finished 11th last season and delayed pre-season preparations while finalising their new appointment. Rosenior brings familiarity with French football after an 18-month spell at Strasbourg, Chelsea's sister club under the shared Blue Co ownership structure.

His coaching journey began at Derby County and Hull City before the Chelsea opportunity arose in January. Rosenior's time at Strasbourg proved successful, helping him adapt to French football while improving his language skills ahead of this potential return.

Chelsea moved quickly to replace Rosenior with Xabi Alonso, who starts work on July 1st after leaving Bayer Leverkusen. This marks the club's sixth permanent manager in four years under Blue Co, following their 10th-place Premier League finish and Enzo Maresca's January departure.
