PSG have completed the signing of France international Lucas Digne from Aston Villa in a £8.5m deal. The 33‑year‑old left‑back joins the European champions on a three‑year contract at the Parc des Princes, returning to the club where he spent three years early in his career.

Digne, who previously played for Everton and Barcelona, left Villa after three seasons and a Europa League triumph. He joins a PSG side that has won the Champions League twice in succession, most recently after beating Arsenal on penalties in the 2026 final. The move activates his release clause and gives manager Luis Enrique competition for the first‑choice left‑back spot currently held by Nuno Mendes.

Villa’s departure of Digne marks their third senior exit of the window, following Morgan Rogers to Chelsea and Youri Tielemans to Manchester United. The French full‑back expressed honour at returning to Paris after more than a decade, praising the club’s development. With his experience and the financial value of the transfer, Digne is expected to bolster PSG’s depth on the left side of defence.

The £8.5m fee makes Digne one of PSG’s most expensive acquisitions in recent years, reflecting the club’s ambition ahead of the 2024‑25 season.
