Manchester City have won their first seven Premier League games of the season, but their unbeaten start faces a test at an improving Aston Villa side on Saturday. Villa have beaten City in this fixture in each of the past three years under Unai Emery, and they are seven unbeaten in all competitions.
BBC Sport football expert Chris Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this season, pitting his picks against AI, BBC Sport readers and a range of guests. For week eight, he takes on Waffle the Wonder Dog and his owner Simon, played by actor James Merry. Waffle's After School Club, featuring James and Waffle, is available on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer.
Waffle, a talking poodle, says his best position is right-back, on the sofa. He names England captain Harry Kane as his favourite player and Liverpool as his club. He watches the Reds on iPlayer after an early Sunday morning garden wee.
Merry is an Aston Villa fan with a long connection to the club. He grew up in Sutton Coldfield, worked in Villa Park's catering department at 16, and recalls cleaning executive boxes over the summer. Readers can make their own predictions, with a correct result worth 10 points and an exact score worth 40 points.
