Graham Potter has extended his contract as Sweden coach until 2030, expressing "great pride and a great responsibility" in leading the team. The 50-year-old manager took over from sacked Jon Dahl Tomasson last October on a short-term basis with the mission to revive Sweden's faltering World Cup qualification campaign.

Potter brings valuable international experience after previous Premier League roles at West Ham, Chelsea, and Brighton. Despite being sacked by West Ham in September following a poor start to the season, he quickly emerged as the favorite for the Sweden job, having previously guided Östersund from the fourth division to the top flight while winning a domestic cup in 2017.

Sweden still has a path to this summer's World Cup, which begins in June across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The team must overcome Ukraine in play-off matches before facing either Poland or Albania later this month. Potter's long-term commitment suggests the federation believes he can restore Sweden's competitive status on the international stage.
