Mauricio Pochettino has selected Bournemouth midfielder Tyler Adams and Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson for the United States' World Cup 2026 roster. The duo joins four other Premier League players including Brenden Aaronson, Chris Richards, Haji Wright and Antonee's brother Miles Robinson. Pochettino's 26-man squad blends MLS talent with European experience across England, Italy, France, Germany and Scotland.

The most notable inclusion is Borussia Monchengladbach's Giovanni Reyna, who returns despite controversy from Qatar 2022. Gregg Berhalter nearly expelled Reyna from camp over training attitude issues, which later revealed family tensions involving domestic incident allegations from 1991. US Soccer's independent investigation cleared Berhalter of wrongdoing, allowing Reyna to reclaim his place in the national setup. His father Claudio Reyna earned 113 caps for the US, making this selection particularly meaningful.

Interestingly, Pochettino also called up Sebastian Berhalter, Gregg's son from Vancouver Whitecaps, adding family dynamics to the roster. The squad features Matt Turner in goal alongside familiar faces like Christian Pulisic and Weston McKennie. Group D presents a challenging path with matches against Paraguay, Australia and Turkey starting June 13.

This roster signals Pochettino's intent to blend emerging Premier League talent with proven European performers. Adams brings leadership from his Leeds and RB Leipzig days, while Robinson offers pace and defensive versatility. The selections reflect US Soccer's strategy of developing players abroad while maintaining strong domestic foundations through MLS contributors.
