Interim manager Martin O'Neill has expressed hope that Celtic will receive the full ticket allocation for their Scottish Cup quarter-final against Rangers at Ibrox next month. Under competition rules, teams can claim up to 20% of tickets, which at Ibrox amounts to more than 10,000 seats.

The allocation has been a contentious issue since 2018 when Rangers reduced Celtic's allocation to fewer than 1,000. Historically, around 7,500 Celtic fans filled the Broomloan Stand for Old Firm derbies, but recent years have seen allocations fluctuate between about 750 and zero due to tit-for-tat moves between the clubs.

O'Neill believes the fixture has lost some of its magic without full away support, calling it "one of the great fixtures in European football." The former manager emphasized that as a supporter, he would want the maximum allocation available under the rules, suggesting the return of a large Celtic contingent would be "fantastic" and help restore the atmosphere at this historic rivalry.
