Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has expressed strong admiration for the maturity and talent of 18-year-old Ceadach O'Neill. The Northern Ireland international has been integrated into the Gunners' pre-season, appearing in friendlies against Girona and Real Betis, and even scoring in a closed-doors match against MK Dons.

Arteta praised O'Neill's focus and "tremendous quality," stating, "He's a player that we have big hopes with and we just need to develop him in the right way." O'Neill previously scored 18 goals in 30 games for Arsenal's academy before earning a senior call-up for Northern Ireland, making his debut in June.

O'Neill, who is also eligible to play for the Republic of Ireland, is keen to concentrate on his club career while remaining open to future international involvement. He stated, "I'm just trying to concentrate at club level and I think that's all I can do. I'm really enjoying what I'm doing and where I'm at."
