Victoire Cogevina Reynal has left Mercury13, the multi-club ownership group she co-founded to invest in women's football. Reynal departed five months after Mercury13 acquired a controlling stake in Bristol City Women, following their earlier purchase of Como Women in Italy's Serie A Femminile.

Mercury13, which has pledged to invest more than £80m in women's clubs globally, attempted to acquire Lewes FC Women in 2023 before securing stakes in both Italian and English clubs. The group's Bristol City takeover was described as "pivotal" for the WSL 2 club's future development.

In her social media statement, Reynal called her Mercury13 tenure "the privilege of my lifetime" and expressed confidence that the women's game is "in a better place" following their investments. The American-born entrepreneur and UN ambassador for gender equality in football helped build the company to demonstrate what's possible when women's football receives conviction and long-term investment.
