Dutch international Memphis Depay has defended his new music video for 'Don't Panic', which shows Corinthians headquarters engulfed in flames, calling it "just art." This follows a contract row where the former Manchester United forward accepted a significant pay cut to stay at the Brazilian club after they opted against renewal.

The 32-year-old released the track just 24 hours after helping the team reach the quarter-final of the Copa Libertadores. The video contains references to his disputes, showing him watching the administrative center burn while singing about an unnamed vice-president who is now his enemy.

With fans currently protesting club ownership amid financial concerns, Depay moved to dampen backlash by stating the footage was filmed months ago. He insisted on social media that the release is purely artistic and expressed hope for peaceful demonstrations. Regarding the burning imagery, the Dutch forward stressed he is fully against all violence, reiterating that the clip is simply a creative work separate from his professional situation.
