Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount is set to miss Wednesday's pre-season encounter with Leeds at Croke Park. Mount was outstanding in United's first three pre-season games, operating in the number eight role, with new signing Andrey Santos just behind. However, he was kicked on the foot in the early minutes of Saturday's draw with Paris St-Germain in Gothenburg.

Although head coach Michael Carrick said he took Mount off in the first half as a precaution, and the 27-year-old was walking freely when he made his way to the team coach after the game, it is understood he has not trained since and is unlikely to play against Leeds. It is not known whether Mount will be available for Saturday's final pre-season game against Ruben Amorim's AC Milan in Wroclaw on Saturday.
