Luton Town have confirmed William Lancefield as their new head of recruitment, luring him from Scottish Premiership side Hearts. The appointment comes as the Hatters look to strengthen their recruitment infrastructure ahead of the new campaign.

Lancefield brings extensive experience, having worked in scouting and analysis roles at Southampton, Norwich City, Tottenham and Brighton. Chief executive Gary Sweet described the move as a significant coup for the club.

The restructuring sees Jay Socik and Alexander Wilkinson depart from their recruitment analysis and senior scout positions respectively. These changes signal Luton's intent to modernize their approach to player acquisition.
