Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has revealed he is 'very sad' not to have received a new contract offer from the club. He admitted he had 'options to leave' this summer but stated he is 'in the right club' and will give his all until the end of his current deal. Mac Allister helped Liverpool win the Premier League in 2024-25 but felt it wasn't a good season for him individually as they finished fifth and sacked manager Arne Slot. New boss Andoni Iraola praised Mac Allister's importance to the squad despite the contract situation.
