Keating, who debuted for England at Etihad Stadium in October 2025, joins Liverpool as the club’s fourth summer signing. She battled Japan’s Ayaka Yamashita for City’s number‑one shirt last season, starting only four WSL games as they also lifted the Women’s FA Cup.

Regarded as one of the country’s best young goalkeepers, Keating was called up by England manager Sarina Wiegman for June’s crucial World Cup qualifying matches against Spain and Ukraine, though a concussion ruled her out. She was part of the triumphant Euro 2025 squad and aims to secure a regular spot for next year’s Women’s World Cup in Brazil.

Liverpool boss Taylor gave Keating her WSL debut and oversaw her breakout 2023‑24 campaign. At just 19, she became the youngest goalkeeper to win the WSL Golden Glove, keeping nine clean sheets. Her previous short loans at AFC Fylde and Coventry United, plus Women’s Champions League experience, rounded out her profile.

"The start of my career has been nothing but amazing… I need that missing piece," she said. "Liverpool can provide the platform for week‑in, week‑out play, good teammates and trophies."

Liverpool had been searching for a goalkeeper after Jennifer Falk’s loan ended in May, but a permanent deal fell through.
