Leeds United has secured the signing of defender Tarik Muharemovic from Serie A club Sassuolo for a fee of £34.1m. The 23-year-old Bosnia-Herzegovina international has committed to a five-year contract at Elland Road.

Muharemovic arrives as a replacement for Pascal Struijk, who transferred to Brighton for £20m in June. He is Leeds' second summer acquisition, following Harry Wilson's free transfer from Fulham. "I will give everything for this club. I will give everything, every game," Muharemovic stated, emphasizing his winning mentality and commitment to fighting for every ball.

Having represented Bosnia-Herzegovina at the World Cup, Muharemovic's journey began in Austrian football with Wolfsberger. He later moved to Juventus before joining Sassuolo in 2025 after a loan spell. Notably, Juventus is expected to receive 50% of the transfer fee due to a clause in their previous sale of the defender.
