Frank Lampard has been voted the League Managers Association’s manager of the year after steering Coventry City to the Championship title. His Sky Blues finished 11 points clear, securing promotion to the Premier League for the first time since 2000‑01. The honour was presented by England boss Thomas Tuchel, who read a letter from Sir Alex Ferguson praising Lampard’s confident, belief‑driven football.

Coventry topped the league not only on points but also on firepower, netting 97 goals in 46 matches while boasting the best defensive record. Lampard joined a short list of managers recognized outside the top flight, alongside recent winners Chris Wilder and Kieran McKenna. The ceremony also handed the Premier League award to Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta and the Women’s Super League trophy to Manchester City’s Ander Jeglertz.

The award marks the highest individual accolade of Lampard’s coaching career, eclipsing his brief stints at Derby, Everton and Chelsea. His success arrives as Steve Bruce and Martin O’Neill entered the LMA Hall of Fame for reaching 1,000 managerial games. Lampard’s triumph underscores how effective resource‑ful management can rewrite a club’s fortunes in English football.
