Jodi Jones delivered a masterclass performance at Wembley as Notts County secured promotion with a 3-0 League Two play-off final victory over Salford City. The winger contributed to all three goals, earning widespread praise from opposition managers and capping a remarkable personal journey.

Jones spent 897 days sidelined across three anterior cruciate ligament operations between November 2017 and August 2021, missing 130 games during his Coventry spell. The 28-year-old went more than five years between starting league matches before reviving his career at Notts County.

His 10 goals and 24 assists this season earned him League Two player of the year honors, breaking a record shared by Thierry Henry and Kevin de Bruyne. Jones revealed he predicted Arsenal, Coventry, and Notts County would all achieve glory this season, calling it 'amazing' that it happened.

Manager Martin Paterson hailed Jones as a 'magician' while Salford boss Karl Robinson admitted disappointment at allowing him to join Notts on loan. Jones now boasts an unbeaten record at Wembley across multiple clubs and promotions.
