Hearts forwards Claudio Braga and Lawrence Shankland headline the four nominees for the PFA Scotland Premiership player of the year award, alongside Motherwell attackers Elijah Just and Tawanda Maswanhise. Portuguese striker Braga, 26, and Scotland international Shankland, 30, have combined for 34 goals this season as Hearts sit top of the league.

Maswanhise leads the line as the division's top scorer with 17 league goals and 23 in all competitions. The Zimbabwe international, 23, has been a revelation for Motherwell. New Zealand winger Just, 25, has contributed seven goals and seven assists this term, making him a deserving candidate for the award.

The SWPL player of the year nominees feature Hearts striker Georgia Timms, Rangers forward Katie Wilkinson, and Glasgow City pair Lee Gibson and Nicole Kozlova. The winners will be announced at the PFA Scotland awards dinner next month.
