Garnacho was caught speeding near Manchester United's Carrington training complex in a black Audi RS 3, driving 10mph over the limit on 26 August, just days before his £40m move to Chelsea.

The Argentine winger pleaded guilty to the offence at Liverpool Magistrates' Court, accepting the speeding was an oversight and apologizing for the embarrassment. He received a £660 fine, £120 costs, and a £264 victim surcharge, along with three penalty points on his licence.

The incident occurred when police captured him on a speed camera near United's entrance. Though initially charged with failing to respond to a police letter identifying him as the driver, that charge was withdrawn after his guilty plea. The court hearing was held under the Single Justice Procedure.

This conviction adds to the controversy surrounding the player's departure from Manchester United, where he fell out of favour under former manager Ruben Amorim after coming through their academy. He has since scored seven goals in 36 appearances for Chelsea.
