Following their 3-2 victory over Mexico in the World Cup, England manager Thomas Tuchel granted his players an offsite family day. The squad, still near Kansas City, used Tuesday to spend time with loved ones away from their World Cup camp before resuming training Wednesday for their quarter-final match.

The win against Mexico is being hailed as England's best World Cup performance since the 1966 final. However, concerns have arisen regarding the physical and mental toll of the high-altitude match in Mexico City, especially after four previous games.

Tuchel, mindful of conserving player energy, had a light training session before the Mexico game. He hopes the rest day will alleviate squad strain ahead of their Saturday quarter-final clash with Norway in Miami.
