Ecuador has announced their Ecuador squad for the 2026 World Cup, featuring a blend of experienced players and new faces. Sunderland's Nilson Angulo makes his World Cup debut after joining the Black Cats from Anderlecht last January. The 22-year-old forward has 12 international caps but represents the next generation of Ecuadorian talent heading to the tournament across North America.

Veteran leadership comes from captain Enner Valencia, who will compete in his third World Cup at age 36. The all-time top scorer with 49 goals in 105 appearances, Valencia is joined by established Premier League stars Moises Caicedo of Chelsea and Arsenal's Piero Hincapie, both appearing in their second consecutive World Cup. Former Brighton defender Pervis Estupinan, now at AC Milan, also earns selection.

Ecuador, whose best World Cup result was reaching the Group E round of 16 in 2006, faces a challenging group stage. Los Amarillos open against Ivory Coast on June 15, then meet Curacao on June 21 before concluding against Germany at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on June 25. The squad balances youth with experience in their quest to surpass their previous best tournament showing.
