Duncan Ferguson earned a battling 1‑1 draw on his Irish Premiership managerial debut, guiding Glentoran to a point away at league leaders Coleraine. The former Everton striker, appointed amid high expectations, admitted nerves before the match and praised his players' resilience after a late equaliser from Jordan Stewart. Ferguson’s first scheduled game was postponed due to weather, but the viral Wi‑Fi video hype gave way to a solid defensive display.
With Coleraine’s top‑scoring attack held in check and a crucial Matthew Shevlin effort hitting the post, Glentoran’s grit and determination secured a hard‑earned point, offering optimism for the season ahead.
