The league phase draw for the 2026-27 Conference League takes place on Friday, 28 August at 12:00 BST in Monaco. The draw will occur as part of a joint event with the Europa League, with the Conference League expected to follow. All 36 clubs will be divided into six pots based on their UEFA club coefficient rankings from the five-season period ending in 2025-26. Each team will play six matches, facing one opponent from each pot, with restrictions preventing same-country matchups.

Hearts are the only confirmed team so far, while the remaining 35 will be finalized on Thursday. The top eight teams qualify directly for the round of 16, while those ranked ninth to 24th enter the play-off knockout round. Teams finishing 25th to 36th are eliminated. Rangers are guaranteed a spot in pot one if they qualify, alongside Benfica, Atalanta, and Braga. Brighton and Hove Albion could also reach the top pot under specific conditions.

Motherwell and Hibernian would likely enter lower pots if they qualify. Shamrock Rovers would rank above most British clubs except Rangers and Brighton. Larne of Northern Ireland is also rated higher than Motherwell and Hibernian.
