Cole Palmer 'Very Happy' at Chelsea Despite Rumors

Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior insists Cole Palmer is "very, very happy" at Stamford Bridge, dismissing reports the forward is homesick. The 23-year-old, who grew up in Manchester, has been linked with a move to Manchester United despite a £42.5m move from Manchester City in 2023.

Palmer signed a contract extension in August 2024, potentially keeping him at Chelsea until 2033. Rosenior cited Palmer's frustration after scoring a penalty against Brentford, attributing it to his desire to perform at a high level, not unhappiness with the club. The forward has battled a troublesome groin injury this season.

Chelsea will assess Palmer's fitness after he missed their Champions League win over Pafos with a minor thigh issue. Rosenior confirmed goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen (minor injury) and midfielder Dario Essugo (out for over a month) are also sidelined as the Blues prepare for Crystal Palace.
