Chelsea Goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen Injury Update

Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen will miss Saturday's match against Everton after undergoing minor groin surgery in Munich. The 22-year-old Dane was expected to be available but the medical procedure has ruled him out of the upcoming Premier League fixture. He is now targeting a return after the international break.

Jorgensen had been pushing for more playing time this season and even considered a loan move in January, with West Ham and Besiktas reportedly interested. The goalkeeper was keen to feature in Denmark's World Cup play-off squad this month but will now miss international duty as he recovers. His absence opens the door for Robert Sanchez to retain his starting position.

Despite the setback, Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior praised Jorgensen's attitude and integration within the squad. Rosenior described the young keeper as "best friends" with vice-captain Enzo Fernandez, highlighting his positive influence in the dressing room. The connection between the two players was evident when Fernandez threw the ball towards Jorgensen in frustration after a costly error against Paris St-Germain last week.
