Chelsea have held talks to sign 17-year-old forward N'Sira Safi from the Right to Dream Academy, according to BBC Sport. The Ivory Coast prospect impressed manager Sonia Bompastor during a trial in summer 2025 and was called up for the Women's Africa Cup of Nations before its cancellation.

Right to Dream, which owns clubs including Nordsjaelland and San Diego FC, maintains strong ties with Chelsea through their shared ownership structure under BlueCo. The academy has an established track record of developing African talent. However, FA Governing Body Endorsement regulations make signing young African players in women's football particularly challenging compared to the less restrictive environment in the United States.

Any potential deal faces additional complications due to work permit requirements. If Chelsea secures Safi, she may need an initial loan move to build international caps while developing her game. The 2026 summer transfer window opens June 15, giving both clubs time to negotiate terms that could see Safi join Chelsea or one of Right to Dream's affiliated clubs after her 18th birthday.
