Malawi's Chawinga sisters were the stars as the Scorchers beat Algeria 3-1 to reach the Wafcon final in Rabat. The 153rd-ranked debutants, who have already eliminated Nigeria and Ghana, were too strong for Les Fennecs in a frantic match featuring two first-half red cards.

Tabitha Chawinga opened the scoring with an acrobatic overhead kick after Algeria's Morgane Belkhiter was sent off. Temwa Chawinga made it 2-0 before Malawi's Rose Kadzere also saw red. Ikram Adjabi gave Algeria hope, but Tabitha's second goal sealed the win.

Malawi will face Morocco or Cameroon in Sunday's final, looking to become the fourth nation to lift the trophy. Having already qualified for the World Cup, the Scorchers are on the verge of a remarkable underdog story. The sisters have scored eight of Malawi's 12 goals and appear unstoppable.
