The Champions League last-16 draw takes place on Friday at 11:00 GMT, with 16 teams set to discover their knockout-stage opponents. Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham have already secured their places, while Newcastle United are on course to join them after a commanding 6-1 play-off first-leg victory over Qarabag.

The draw will feature the eight play-off winners facing the top-eight finishers from the league phase. This season introduces a new bracket system where teams will know their potential quarter-final, semi-final and final opponents from the outset. First-leg matches are scheduled for 10-11 March, with return fixtures on 17-18 March.

Seeding will be determined by league-phase positions, with the top-four finishers gaining home advantage in their quarter-final second legs. The top-two teams will also be seeded for the semi-finals if they progress that far. January signings like Marc Guehi and Antoine Semenyo at Manchester City are eligible to feature, provided they were registered before the play-offs. The final will be held at Budapest's Puskas Arena on 30 May.
