Celtic manager Martin O'Neill has downplayed reports linking the club to Perth Red Star goalkeeper Sonny Inzalaco and free agent midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko. The 19-year-old Australian youth international has been training with Celtic at Lennoxtown, though O'Neill insists he was unaware of the arrangement. Wrexham and Blackburn Rovers have also shown interest in Inzalaco, who had a trial with the latter in the summer.
Meanwhile, O'Neill confirmed Celtic will not make any signings before the January transfer window and denied knowledge of Bakayoko's training sessions at the club. The 32-year-old former France international has been a free agent since leaving PAOK in July 2025. In other news, Fares Ghedjemis's agent revealed both Celtic and Rangers made moves for the Algeria winger during the summer window, though he ultimately signed a contract extension with Frosinone.
The SPFL also announced hopes to reintroduce away fans at Old Firm derbies in the coming months.
